SUMMARY: TIDAL WEST MOVEMENTS ARE OFFSET BY CRUSTAL MASS RE-DISTRIBUTION

LAND MASS IS MOVING WESTWARD 20MM/YEAR (20 KM/M.Y.) NORMALLY, BUT IS OFFSET at intervals BY OPPOSING RE-DISTRIBUTION MOVEMENTS OF THE CRUST. Examples include the well-known REBOUND created by MELTING OF GLACIERS. This case illustrates that the net westward movement is near 1-1.6 km/m.y. when the crust rises with loss of the weight of ice to the oceans. This has been measured for the borderlands close to the Pacific Ocean, for Whidbey Island, Willamette-Columbia Rivers, and San Juan Islands. The SPACING, or width of N-S grid lines (which are separations of TIDAL TROUGHS or RISES) can be seen and measured on Google Earth, and are easily viewed and hiked for features on the small scale: Mima Mounds, San Juan elliptical arrangement, and other entities near the Pacific borderlands south to the Mendocino 40N latitude. The conflicting movement tendencies produce a “RINGING” or crustal resonance which occurs on a thousand years’ multiple, and result in uplift of the mounds, intrusions such as Mt. Constitution on Orcas Island, and raised curvilinear blocks below sea level in Puget Sound.
Whereas large arcs, such as the Indonesian archipelago, can be measured and age calculated from the calculated diameters, at diameter/20km/m.y.= AGE, in million years,
this normal relation (which has been confirmed for times back to PTr, or 256m.y.) for many locations in the northern hemisphere, the calculation is inaccurate for regions where “RINGING” occurs. San Juan Island exhibits that the measured diameters must be divided by1km/year to obtain the correct time of movement.
Calculations for AGE of Initial Movement of an arc, such as Indonesia, may be made by cross-checking the movement of the Himalayan arc- which occurs with its time of northward movement. This is partly due to KT, or 64m.y.-by the BINARY SERIES, which is correlated with the asteroids producing the initial response. The Deccan basalts resulting from the KT strike confirm that the calculations using 20km/m.y. are correct for all times and all quadrants of the globe, EXCEPT FOR CONFLICTS OCCURRING AT CRUSTAL UNLOADING. THIS CASE HISTORY PRODUCED A SURPRISE: THE HIMALAYAS OCCUR DUE TO THE EARLIER PTr STRIKE OF 251-4 M.Y. IT IS FOLLOWED BY THE KT STRIKE, WHICH INFLUENCES A REGION FURTHER TO THE NORTH IN ASIA. THIS IS SHOWN IN THE FOLLOWING GOOGLE PHOTO, WHERE THE CENTRAL ASIAN LAKES AND PLATEAUS HAVE BEEN FORMED BY THE SUBSEQUENT KT STRIKE OF 64.5 M.Y. (calculated FROM THE DIAMETER OF THE ARC/20KM/M.Y. THIS WAS UNEXPECTED, SINCE THE DECCAN FLOOD BASALTS WOULD HAVE INDICATED KT, AND THEY OCCUR ON THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT:
Further north, the KT STRIKE HAS ITS INFLUENCE ON CENTRAL ASIA, AND IT NDICATES THAT THE TIDAL SHIFT BETWEEN PTr AND KT IS CLOSER TO 7KM/M.Y., NOT THE USUAL 20 KM/M.Y. WE'LL CROSS-CHECK THIS ABBE RATION, SINCE I DEPEND UPON ACCURACY THROUGHOUT GEOLOGIC TIME FOR THESE TIDES. INCIDENTALLY, GOING FURTHER BACK IN TIME, USING 20KM/M.Y. WE FIND THAT THE WHOLE EARTH HAS SHIFTED ITS ENTIRE CIRCUMFERENCE FROM THE TIME OF 2 B.Y. THIS HAS TREMENDOUS IMPLICATIONS, SINCE LIFE MADE A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN DEVELOPMENT AT THIS 2 BILLION YEAR AGE.
This major finding- that the GRADUALLY WIDENING ARCS, similar to ripples in a pond- from the tossing of a stone- are the result of an asteroid (the stone) striking the earth, producing a lasting series of ever-widening arcs outwardly moving. The movement is perpendicular to the arc, and the convex side of the arc indicates the direction of movement with time. On the small scale, an eastward-facing curvilinear cliff- such as the east side of Whidbey Island, below- indicates that conflict has occurred and that the grid spacing must be measured to calculate the time of initial movement:
I had wondered at the formation of the Pacific Hourglass- a feature showing symmetry between the Hawaiian and island chains to the NW. Now it becomes clear that the entity developed from the expansion of the Australian crust NE-ward, creating rings of islands as the movement brought “CHATTER” while developing seamounts, vulcanism, and uplift of the seafloor:
1. CONVEX COASTLINES INDICATE THE NORMAL MOVEMENT OF 20KM/M.Y. WESTWARD, EXCEPT FOR
2. THOSE CONVEX BORDERS ORIENTING EASTWARD- WHICH RESULT FROM CONFLICTING REBOUND, MASS RE-DISTRIBUTION OF THE CRUST, AND BORDERS AT ASTEROID STRIKES INTERFERENCE;
3. THE INITIAL ASTEROID STRIKE TIME MAY BE CALCULATED FROM DIAMETERS FOUND FROM ARCUATE MEASUREMENTS. THIS IS CALCULATED FROM PARTIAL ARCS (LESS THAT A HALF CIRCLE) BY TRACING ORTHOGONALS PERPENDICULAR TO THE ARC AT MEASURED ARC DISTANCES, AND BY CALCULATING THE DIAMETER FROM CIRCUMFERENCE/PI= AGE x 20. MANY CASES SHOW THE PROGRESSION OF THE ARCS WITH TIME VIA CONCENTRIC ARCS, WITH THE LARGER DIAMETERS BEING THE LATEST OR LARGEST DIAMETER. An excellent case is that of Indonesia, where the Andaman Islands are the youngest and largest arc of expansion (“ripple” in the pond of the Indian Ocean). This arc indicates the time of the Ptr strike at the southern border of Australia- where the strike initiated the separation of Antarctica from the larger landmass: 256 m.y. by the binary series, or 251m.y. measured by radioactivity.
THERE ARE A NUMBER OF QUESTIONS REGARDING THE "TOO ACCURATE" CALCULATION OF THE AGE IF THE EXPANSION OF THE 256 M.Y. ASSOCIATION OF THE INDONESIAN ARCHIPELAGO AND ITS OUTWARD "LAND RIPPLES". BELOW IT IS RE-ANALYZED FOR THE EXPANSION RATE, SINCE THERE SHOULD BE "CHATTER" OR REDUCED TIDAL MOVEMENT WITH THE UPWARD MOVEMENT OF THE VULCANISM AND MOUNTAIN FORMATION. REMEMBERING THAT CONVEX BULGES INDICATE THE DIRECTION OF PAST AND PRESENT MOVEMENT, STUDY THE FOLLOWING GOOGLE PHOTO:
4. CONFLICTS OF DIFFERENT MOVEMENTS CREATE TERRACES, THE SMALLEST OF WHICH IS THAT SURROUNDING MIMA MOUNDS:
OTHER TERRACES INCLUDE CONTINENTAL SHELVES AND BORDERS OF UPLIFTS- SUCH AS THAT ABOVE THE HURRICANE FAULT, Hf- AND INTRUSIVE DOMES.
WHAT IS THE PRACTICAL USE OF ALL THIS? AFTER ALL, WE ARE INVESTIGATING FEATURES WHICH TRANSPIRED MILLIONS OF YEAR AGO. THE ANSWERS INCLUDE:
A. KILLER EARTHQUAKES RESULT FROM THE “JERK” MOVEMENT OUTWARD FROM THE CONVEX ARCS, SUCH AS THE RECENT SUMATRAN AND PREVIOUS KRAKATAU SHOVES. WE CAN NOW “HOME IN“ ON THE LIKELY EXPANDING AND DETACHING ISLAND ANOMALIES;
B. CONTINENTAL SHELVES MAY NOW BE UNDERSTOOD AND PREDICTED AS TO MOVEMENT OF TURBIDITES AND WESTWARD-MOVING CONTINENTAL SLOPE BORDERS;
C. REGIONS OF EXCELLENT SOIL MAY BE DELINEATED BY LOCATION OF PRESENTLY-MOVING MOUNDS ON A SMALL SCALE; AND,
D. TROUGHS OF FASTER-MOVING TIDAL CURRENTS, WHERE SALMON MAKE THEIR RUNS TOWARD THE RIVERS, MAY BE ISOLATED FOR SPORT FISHING
I SUSPECT THAT VULCANISM (EXTRUSION) VS. INTRUSION OF GRANITE-LIKE ROCK MAY BE PREDICTED, BY USE OF THE OBSERVATION THAT VOLCANOES OCCUR IN BASINS IN BINARY SEQUENCE, WHEREAS INTRUSIONS OCCUR ON PREVIOUS BASIN’S FAIRLY LEVEL TERRACES.
The San Juan complex has rotated and moved eastward in Cretaceous time. Since KT, it has continued CW, but has moved westward (overall, 4km/yr) This has caused the entire feature to rotate CW, while shoving the south side to the SW and expanding the mainland BC toward the SW also. This procedure creates, first, TERRACES, onto which thrusting occurs, then intrusion or upward shove of MOUNDS, such as Mt. Constitution. This has to be incorporated into any AGE MESUREMENT scheme, since the normal 20mm/yr movement is not pertinent when the elliptical rotation and shearing-terracing happens.
THE ABOVE CASE FOR SAN JUAN ISLANDS SHOWS THAT TIDAL SHIFT WEST OF 20MM/YEAR CANNOT BE USED WHENEVER THERE IS "CHATTER" OR INTERFERENCE FROM SUBSEQUENT ASTEROID STRIKES- AFFECTING PORTIONS OF THE CRUST. THESE CASES REQUIRE THAT THE DIVISOR BE MEASURED LOCALLY. THIS IS AS LOW AS 1KM/M.Y. FOR WHIDBEY ISLAND AND OTHER REGIONS WHERE ICE UNLOADING HAS "WORKED AGAINST" THE NORMAL TIDAL MOVEMENT. SORTING THIS OUT CAN BE STARTED BY ANALYZING THE REGION NEAR THE NORTH POLE, WHERE CHANGE OCCURS MORE NOTICEABLY. GAKKEL RIDGE IS ONE SUCH REGION, WHERE THE TIDAL MOVEMENTS CHANGE WITH TIME AFTER THE KT AND 40M.Y. EVENTS:
I CROSS-CHECK MY WORK, USING WHATEVER IS USEFUL FROM OTHER ANALYSES. THE 40K.Y. EVENT SHOWS ITS "COLORS" IN MANY LOCATIONS AROUND THE GLOBE, AND NOT JUST IN Qsna: AT MENDOCINO, CA, CENTRAL AMERICA CURLICUES DUE TO POLAR SHIFTS, AND AT THE NORTH POLE. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT I CROSS-CHECK THIS EVENT, SINCE THIS IS A CLUE TO THE BINARY THEORY'S PREDICTION OF THE INSTABILITY OF THE EARTH. NOTICE THAT IT IS NOT CONFIRMED ABOVE, AND IS RE-CALCULATED FOR AGES, ROTATIONS, AND MOVEMENTS BELOW:
TIDAL SHIFT IS SENSITIVE TO LATITUDE, PARTICULARLY AT THE NORTH POLE. NORMALLY, THE MOVEMENT IS 20MM/YR, BUT WHENEVER THERE IS "CHATTER" AS FOR REGIONS UNLOADING ICE, OR FOR LARGE LATITUDES, THE MOVEMENT IS VERY SMALL.
BELOW YOU CAN SEE THAT THE MENDOCINO BULGE, WEST OF THE COAST OF CA, HAS BEEN FORMING FOR MOST OF TIME SINCE THE PALEOZOIC. I CALCULATE THAT THE MOVEMENT IS NEAR 1 KM/M.Y ALSO. HENCE, ONE MUST USE EVERY MEANS TO CROSS-CHECK TO DETERMINE WHETHER THERE IS AN INTERFERING RESONANCE (AS AT WHIDBEY AND SAN JUAN ISLANDS REBOUND, WITH ICE UNLOADING):
AFTER FINDING THAT THERE WAS "CHATTER" WITH 1 KM/M.Y. REDUCED MOVEMENT FOR THE MENDOCINO BULGE, I RE-ANALYZED THE REGION- ALL THE WAY TO THE NORTH POLE. THIS INDICATED THAT THE POLE HAS ALSO "CHATTERED" DUE TO BEING SENSITIVE TO EVERY LARGE MOVEMENT FROM ASTEROID STRIKES, MASS RE-DISTRIBUTION, AND REBOUND. VIEWING GAKKEL RIDGE, THERE IS INFORMATION ABOUT THE DISTORTION OF THE PARALLEL RIDGES OF LOMONOTOV AND GAKKEL:
THE GALAPAGOS ISLANDS LIE NEAR THE EQUATOR AND PROVIDE A LATITUDE WHERE THERE IS MINIMUM CORIOLIS ROTATION, NO LATITUDE CORRECTION, AND TERTIARY VULCANISM. IT IS INSTRUCTIVE TO MEASURE THE TIDAL MOVEMENT THERE, TO ELIMINATE SOME OF THE VARIABLES, AND TO MEASURE THE ACCURACY OF THE NORMAL 20MM/YR WESTWARD TIDAL SHIFT, BELOW IS THE ANALYSIS, USING ARCS AND THEIR ASSOCIATED ORTHOGONALS: DIAMETERS AND ROTATION ABOUT THE CENTER OF ARCS. NOTICE THAT THERE IS A GENERAL CCW ROTATION OF ARCS (THE RADIUS IS PROPORTIONAL TO AGE OF AN ARC, AND THE SHORTER, THE YOUNGER):
I WONDERED ABOUT THE CASCADES AND THE SIERRA CURVILINEARS, WHERE THE INITIATION OF EACH IS A FACTOR, AND THE SEPARATION OF THE TWO AT THE EO BOUNDARY HAS CAUSED A SHIFT WESTWARD OF SIERRAS RELATIVE TO THE CASCADES. THERE IS DEBATE ABOUT THE ORIGINAL TIME OF FORMATION OF THE SIERRAS, SINCE SOME POLLEN INDICATIONS HAVE HINTED THAT THE SIERRAS ROSE BEFORE 50M.Y. THE USE OF THE RELATION OF DIAMETER/20MM/YEAR > AGE WILL SOLVE THE FIRST ARGUMENT, AND THE ARC MAY BE SEEN TO ONLY SLIGHTLY INFLUENCE THE AGE CALCULATION. THE KEY QUESTION IS WHETHER THERE WAS "CHATTER" WITH THE INTERFERING MOVEMENTS, CAUSING ERROR IN THE AGE CALCULATION. SHOULD THE MOVEMENT RATE HAVE BEEN REDUCED, THE AGE CALCULATION WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN OLDER AGE, SO THAT EITHER WAY WE HAVE SOLVED THE INITIATION ARGUMENT:
Mendocino Transforms show CONTINUAL ACTIVITY SINCE PRECAMBRIAN
Remembering that reversal of convex curves and associated seamounts indicates that CHATTER has occurred, but that GRID LINES allow use of the AGE DIVISOR of 20km/m.y. Look at the analysis of the Mendocino transform at the midpoint:
There are many transforms with indications of various ages, as shown by various arc diameters. This portrayal tries to sort them, according to whether there is chatter (which was associated with the KT strike and uplift of the convex eastward Rocky Mountains). We cannot use the divisor whenever there is chatter, since there is a reduced tidal rate with the accompanying uplift and lateral elliptical rotation. Chatter lines are shown, for several converging lines at the right side of the photo, so that there was a time interval where the reduced tidal effect transpired. This is for the interval from KT to the 40m.y. event. We are trying to find the event, where only its after-effects are shown on GOOGLE EARTH. I believe it represents an instability, or a deviation of the CRUST from its normal behavior, so that it may only be recognized by its influence. The above photo should help sort this; there are indications that this transform is the locus of many repetitions of these instabilities. Below is one associated with an inflection in the Rocky Mountains, which would be that AFTER the KT event:
There is too much information on the above photos, but most of it pertains to calculated AGES OF FORMATION OF ARCUATE SHEAR. We will add to this analysis on separate photos, but for now there is a hint that we have "ZEROED IN" on the appropriate region for finding the 40 m.y. event, which would have transpired after KT and before the 32 m.y. PLANT KILLER.
