This is an INTRODUCTION to EARTH (land) TIDES, as seen on DAILY-PRESENTED HEMISPHERIC WEATHER MAPS, from ATMOSPHERIC (clouds) TIDES. They reveal the IMPORTANT FEATURES, which are necessary to understand million year CRUSTAL MOVEMENT features, and how they PROJECT INTO THE FUTURE- on a daily basis:
A NOTE ABOUT ATMOSPHERIC GRAVITATIONAL TIDES:
The lower atmosphere, below 10.000 meters effects almost all of the changing weather- such as storms, heat and moisture. This portion is readily viewed in EARTH SATELLITE PHOTOS. These are available from NASA, as hemisphere photos each 3 hours during sunlight. Below is one which allows predictions to be made:
It is difficult to see the "BIG PICTURE" from the ground surface, but occcasionaly I am lucky:
PVM (Pine Valley Mtn,) can be viewed from the volcano behind my house; this relates that there will be another destructive storm before the next NEW MOON- Jan 2013:
View the LINEAR, below, of the separation of the Colorado Plateau from the TRANSITION ZONE of CP to Basin and Range ot the west. Geologists would surmise that this is just a break in the weather created by the annual MONSOON, but it extends well south of UT- indicating an important N-S division of the continent (a LOXODROME in mathematical terms):
The EARTH viewed from a SATELLITE 22,000 miles from the surface, in SPACE, is photoed above to show GROSS FEATURES found in ROCK OUTCROPS: the Wasatch line trending N-S through Utah, the TRANSITION ZONE west of that line, and the “waves” of CURVILINEARS beyond that. Although the distance scale is exaggerated, the presentation SUCCESSION is in the right order. The lined view of the Western Hemisphere on September 9, 2012 is shown below:
These daily weather maps show ATMOSPHERIC TIDES, and the main difference from EARTH TIDES is the TIME INTERVAL. Due to the contrasting VISCOSITY (resistance to flow of air or rock), the weather map allows APPRAISAL of the GROSS BEHAVIOR in terms of visable movement- to be viewed and measured DAILY. A day of MAN'S TIME viewing the ATMOSPHERE represents millions of years in ROCK SHEAR and ROTATION-UPLIFT-SINKING (this is not a constant relationship, due to the GRAVITATIONAL HARMONICS, in at least 10 multiples):
ONE WEEK PRIOR to Hurricane Isaac, there is a warning with SHEAR CLOUDS LINES in the Atlantic: 
A NEW REFERENCE for the North American QUADRANSPHERE- Qsna, is shown BELOW to indicate that added information is found by the DAILY SATELITE WEATHER GLOBE, from ATMOSPHERIC TIDES- which perform simiarly to EARTH TIDES. This can be used in a GENERAL SENSE, to obtain movements from day-to-day that would occur on a million year SCALE in the EARTH'S CRUST:

ANALYSES are developed by Harold L. Overton, and are useful for GROSS CLASSIFICATION, OCCASIONALLY yielding information pertinent to the EARTH'S CRUST- such as the angular movement DIFFERENCE of SA from NA (10.8 degrees, or LAGGING in WESTWARD TIDAL SHOVE, by 41 m.y. x 3= 123 m.y.). I have found that the POLAR TILT ANGLE CHANGES 3.6 DEGREES EACH 41 m.y!

PACIFIC HOURGLASS consists of strings of ISLANDS JUTTING in a MIRROR-LIKE FASHION, in the western PACIFIC:
More features found in BOTH ATMOSPHERIC and EARTH (LAND) TIDES:
SIGNIFICANT CHANGES OCCUR in the ATMOSPHERE, which would happpen on a KILOYEAR BASIS on the EARTH'S SURFACE. Consequently, we can view the PROGRESSION of ARCS, CIRCLES, ELLIPSES, and WHOLE CONTINENTS during a day's viewing!
