Weather Cells used for confirmation of EARTH WOBBLE, ASIDE FROM CORIOLIS EFFECTS

BELOW ARE EXAMPLES OF "ATMOSPHERIC TIDES", WHICH ILLUSTRATE THE PRINCIPLE THAT CORIOLIS FORCE, POLAR WOBBLE, AND MILANKOVITCH-TYPE CYCLES AFFECT NOT ONLY THE CLIMATE, BUT ALSO THE DAILY WEATHER, THE CURRENTS IN THE SEAS, AND THE CRUST BELOW ALL THIS. ATMOSPHERIC MOVEMENTS ARE RELATIVELY FAST- DUE TO THE LOW VISCOSITY COMPARED TO THAT IN WATER OR RESISTANT ROCK. THE AIR MOVEMENTS ARE AT LEAST 10 EXPONENT 8 TIMES FASTER THAN THOSE IN ROCK.
A ROUGH CALCULATION OF THE DAILY RATE OF UPPER AIR MOVEMENT MAY BE CALCULATED FROM THE BELOW PHOTO FROM SPACE: DURING THE PERIOD OF 50 HOURS SINCE THE LATER PHOTO WAS TAKEN, THE JET STREAM HAS CREATED A LARGER DIAMETER CIRCLE AND HAS MOVED 80KM/HR OR 50MPH. THIS TRANSLATES INTO 7 X 10EXP 5 KM/YR. THE RATIO OF EARTH TIDE MOVEMENT TO ATMOSPHERIC MOVEMENT IS APPROXIMATELY 7.85 X 10EXP -10 (INVERSELY, 1/3 X 10EXP 8 TIMES AS FAST).




THE ABOVE PHOTO FROM SPACE INDICATES THAT SOME FEATURES, SUCH AS ISLAND ARRAYS, CROSS THE EQUATOR. HENCE DYNAMICS OTHER THAN CORIOLIS EFFECTS ARE INVOLVED:

Confirmation of Ocean Basin dynamics via Summer and Winter Coriolis Behavior
A valuable tool for use with Coriolis analyses is that of the atmosphere- which is subject to the same Earth Dynamics as the Crust of the Earth. Although the atmosphere touches only the sea bottom and the continents (AND NOT THE MANTLE), WEATHER-RELATED CELLS are initiated by the same forces from the SPIN OF THE EARTH. The crust touches both the ATMOSPHERE AND MANTLE, and if you believe that the principal motions of the crust are due to Coriolis effects, then you only have to concern yourself that the Mantle is forcing the base of the crust eastward (since it is rotating a bit faster than the crust, with its greater distance from the tidal influence of the MOON). There are other dynamic influences on the rotating crust: BULGES SUBJECT TO EARTH TIDES (SIMILAR TO MOUNTAIN CHAINS), CONTRACTION OF THE EARTH AS ITS SPIN RATE SLOWS, GEO-MAGNETIC PULSING AND STRIPING, AND ASTEROID STRIKES. The last two categories are out of my ability to analyze, and we will concern ourselves with the first 2 categories- tidal slowing of protrusions and contraction of the earth with length of day (LOD). The crust re-arranges itself (OTHER THAN BY CORIOLIS ROTATION- THE PRIMARY INFLUENCE) due to MANTLE DRAG AND MOUNTAIN-AUGMENTED CRUSTAL SHEAR (MAD-MACS).

NOW LOOK AT A VIEW FROM SPACE, ORBITING OVER A FIXED POSITION, SO THAT WEATHER CELLS MAY BE EXAMINED OVER THE PACIFIC OCEAN- THEIR BREEDING GROUND (INDICATING THEIR INCIPIENCE, NOT THEIR LATER INTERACTION WITH TERRAIN):
This photo was taken with a FULL MOON, SO THAT BOTH MOON AND SUN ARE ATTRACTING (MORE SO THAN AT OTHER DAYS) THE EARTH NEAR THE EQUATOR. HIGH AND LOW CLOUDS REFER TO ALTITUDE, AND NOT HIGH PRESSURE. NOTE THAT THE HIGH CLOUDS CROSS OVER THE WEATHER CLOUDS, CONTINUING ACROSS THE EQUATOR. THIS MEANS THAT CORIOLIS IS NOT THE DRIVING FORCE; RATHER THE MOON OR THE SUN IS CREATING UPLIFT ON LOCATIONS EXHIBITING ISLAND ARRAYS. WE WILL TRY TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE MOON ALONE IS ABLE BY ITS SMALL ANGLE WITH THE ECLIPTIC, TO PULL ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE EQUATOR MORE SO THAN ON THE NORTH SIDE. POSSIBLY THE ADDITION OF THE SUN'S GRAVITATIONAL PULL HELPS THIS BEHAVIOR, AND POSSIBLY THE SUN CREATES THE CIRCLE OF SEAMOUNTS NOTICED ALONG THE TROPIC OF CAPRICORN.
Below is a diagram which simplifies the annual path of the EARTH-MOON DUO, as it SPIRALS IN THE CONFIGURATION OF A SCREW or VORTEX. We will try to answer two QUESTIONS:
1. DOES THE EARTH PRESENT THE FACE OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC TO THE MOON THROUGHOUT MOST MID-DAYS OF THE YEAR (compared relatively, to the North Pacific); and,
2. IS THERE A RIGHT-HANDED SCREW OVER THE MONTHLY PERIOD (ROTATING, LIKE A TWIST WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND- CLOCKWISE)?

AGAIN, A COMPARISON WITH WEATHER PATTERNS FROM A SPACE VIEW ARE COMPARED WITH THE TREND OF SEAMOUNTS IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN:

Island Arcs and Linears in the South Pacific
There are arrays of islands in the South Pacific eastward until reaching Easter Island (compared to almost none east of Hawaii- in the North Pacific)
. This ignores the islands close to South America, SA, such as Islas Juan Fernandez, and more importantly, Galapagos at the Equator; but more on these later. These arrays exhibit great circles when viewed on a larger scale. At close Range, a portion of a circular configuration appears to be a LINEAR, and the curvature of the earth is involved, so that for geographical purposes we can not easily distinguish these features in the field.
The question to ask, concerning these arrays is: What is the incipience of these arrangements? According to the above photos of weather cells, there are similar arrangements of clouds, which are taken at times during the day when the sun is overhead (or nearly so), and which clearly are the result of HEATING. However, when the same portraits are seen during earlier and later hours, and they remain, this indicates that the movement of the sun overhead has little effect on the portrait! It is expected that the daily movement of the sun from east to west would create a moving circle of cloud arrangement, and this is true for continents. However, over the Pacific, it appears that there is an arrangement which is maintained, regardless of sun movement. Notice the CIRCLE OF CLOUDS, WHICH ENCIRCLES THE SOUTH PACIFIC, CROSSING THE EQUATOR.
The Moon is involved in this arrangement, so that until we can determine whether it attracts the CRUST SOUTH OF THE EQUATOR MORE THAN THAT IN THE NORTH, we can’t be sure that the portrait of circular islands is due to the moon, the sun, or to a combination of the two. However, there are at least two of these circum-Pacific arrays, so that possibly one is due to the sun (where the south border of the circle is near the TROPIC OF CAPRICORN). The moon-earth center of mass lies in the earth’s mantle, and the helix made by the monthly spiral about the ECLIPTIC could attract the crust south of the equator more than in the north- creating this mass of islands in the South Pacific Ocean. The arrangement is not altogether linear there, but exhibits islands over a large area. This is probably a rising area, created by attraction of spatial masses- either sun or moon. This is strongly indicated by the way in which the cloud pattern diverts around the array of islands- indicating a bulge in the EARTH’S CRUST.

PHOTO ABOVE INDICATES THAT THERE IS CIRCULATION OF WEATHER CELLS, WHICH ARE SOMEWHAT INDEPENDANT OF THE SUN'S POSITION, REMAINING DAILY! THIS IS SURPRISING, BUT IS SIMILAR TO THE ARRAY OF SMALL ISLANDS BETWEEN THE TONGA TRENCH AND S. AMERICA.
ANOTHER FACET TO CONSIDER IS THAT OF THE SHAPE OF THE GLOBE,IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC- THAT OF A PEAR-SHAPED EARTH: NOTE THAT THE SHAPE OF THE GLOBE INFLUENCES NOT ONLY THE WEATHER, BUT THE EMERGENCE OF SOUTH PACIFIC ISLANDS. WE WILL TRY TO DISCERN THE IMPETUS OF THIS RISE- IS IT DUE TO THE HELICAL PATH OF THE MOON ABOUT THE ECLIPTIC, OR IS THE SUN INVOLVED?

PLATE TECTONIC THEORY: RIGHT ANGLES TO GOOGLE EARTH EVIDENCE

The currently-accepted Plate movements, “Hotspots”, Continental wandering, and Subduction are a good introduction for the GEOLOGY CULTURE to become involved in large-scale CRUSTAL RE-ARRANGEMENTS, but are now an impediment to further understanding of EARTH’S CONTINUAL ROTATIONS, SHEAR, AND VERTICAL SHIFTS.

As seen by photos from space, and from acoustic soundings, the above terms must now be re-interpreted with new physical NOMENCLATURE:
A. For the whole earth, plates are segments of ROTATING CRUST, WITH SHEAR AT THE EDGE OF CELLS. Even for the Pacific, the cells may be made more plausible, by reference to the portrait of the “Pacific Hourglass”. This is a feature which is symmetrical over several thousand kilometers, something which could not be “laid off” onto mantle plumes, hotspots, or rectangular plates- SEE PHOTO BELOW:
THE HOURGLASS, SEEN IN 30 DEGREE LATITUDE BANDS, IS SHOWN BELOW (SINCE WEATHER CELLS ARE NOMINALLY TRACEABLE OVER SIMILAR BANDS):

B. Hotspots, if they exist, are HEAT CREATED BY FRICTION FROM ROTATION OF BRITTLE CRUST. This has nothing to do with the Mantle, but requires brittle rock- not plastic or ductile mantle. Small-scale features, such as rotating cells of extent smaller than the thickness of the crust, may temporarily create HOT SPRINGS, OR GEOTHERMAL ANOMALIES.

C. Subduction is a good term, but more correctly indicates diving of a vertically-rotating cell, such as exists along the OR-WA coast. The terranes associated with subduction are portions of the crust above which there are couplets of islands-basins which have been rotated under the nearby coastline, associated with rift zones- the edges of the rotating cells.
D. Wandering continents are due to the large-scale (REGIONAL OR CONTINENTAL) ROTATIONS OF CORIOLIS CELLS. This is all an orderly process, occurring as the crust encounters differential velocities of north boundaries compared to southern ones- as latitudinal velocity decreases for a mass compared to that for lower latitudes. NOTE: CORIOLIS CELLS ROTATE FASTER ON THE SOUTH SIDE (N. HEMISPHERE) THAN THE NORTH, BECAUSE OF THE FASTER LATITUDINAL VELOCITY THERE. ALL CELLS INVESTIGATED HAVE COMPRESSION, e.g. CP OR GRASS VALLEY CELLS, ON THE SOUTH OR SE SIDE (SAN JUAN MTNS. OR BORDER MONOCLINE).
E. Transforms are shear zones, where the side proceeding westward is being SHOVED BY A BULGE LOCATED TO THE EAST- EITHER EQUATORIAL OR A MOUNTAIN RANGE. The opposite side of the transform has subduction as indicated by rift zones on that side. USE OF THE ABOVE NOMENCLATURE AND ASSOCIATED PHYSICAL MOVEMENTS ALLOWS SOLUTION TO “GEOLOGICAL PUZZLES” which will never be solved with out-dated terminology and its associated mis-representation of the facts. For example:
1. GPS readings show that the movement along the Aleutian islands is to the SW- not a movement of the “Pacific plate” to the north;


2. Hawaii-Emperor seamount chain is the edge of a Quadransphere cell, which is matched to the west in the “hourglass”, and it is due to shear along the boundary, with a 2 track development occurring along the boundary of the QUADRANSPHERE cells adjacent to each other in the Pacific Ocean.

3. The NA continent is not a plate- rather it is a large rotating CRUSTAL LANDMASS. The Yellowstone NP is not a “Hotspot” under a westward-moving continent, rather it is a geothermal anomaly at the conflict zone of a relatively-westward moving NON-EQUATORIAL BULGE to the north shearing against an eastward-moving extension of the crust created by the Sierras as they move to the west (creating the Basin and Range Province as far east as the Rocky mountains south of the Park). THIS IS TRANSLATED ON A GOOGLE PHOTO, TO SHOW THE RELATIVE MOVEMENTS:
I HAVEN'T FOUND A CONSISTENT RATE OF MOVEMENT DUE TO THE VARIOUS DYNAMIC FEATURES MOVING IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE. THIS IS A WEAKNESS IN MY ASSESSMENT OF THE DYNAMICS- WHICH INVOLVES THE WHOLE GLOBE. EVERYTHING MUST EITHER BE IN A HARMONIOUS ARRANGEMENT, OR ELSE GEOTHERMAL ANOMALIES WILL OCCUR- SUCH AS VULCANISM, WHENEVER ROTATING CELLS ARE RASPING AGAINST EACH OTHER, OR WHENEVER THE VARIOUS BULGES ARE CONFLICTING WITH CORIOLIS CELLS. I WILL BEGIN TO AMASS RATES AS CALCULATED FROM TWO SOURCES:
1. RADIO-DATING FOR EXTRUSIVE ROCK, AND,
2. SPATIAL MOVEMENT AS SEEN BY GOOGLE EARTH.

GEOLOGIC PUZZLES SOLVED BY THE EARTH SPIN- EQUATORIAL BULGE- TIDAL FRICTION INTERACTION CONCEPTS


ABOVE IS SHOWN A CLASSIC CASE OF THE INTERACTION OF CORIOLIS ROTATION, SUBDUCTION, AND EARTH TIDE DRAG TO THE WEST- ALONG THE MENDOCINO, CA RIFT AND TRANSFORM FEATURES.
GEOLOGIC PUZZLES SOLVED BY THE EARTH SPIN- EQUATORIAL BULGE- TIDAL FRICTION INTERACTION CONCEPTS
A. rising and protruding CRUSTAL MASSES rotate or spiral CCW, yielding circular VOLCANOES, SALT DOMES, AND MOUNTAINS in the Northern Hemisphere (see Cottonport Dome, Grass Valley vulcanism, and Colorado Plateau uplift);
B. Sinking and cooling magma chambers yield CW rotations, resulting in reversal of vertical fault movements (see Quail Lake and Basin and Range lateral faulting);
C. Shear between similarly-rotating cooling volcanoes results in rejuvenation cones (see Waikapu Vent, Maui, HI), long after the island-building magma is spent;
D. Interference between the westward TIDAL FRICTION PUSH and the eastward-dragging MANTLE MOVEMENT creates the rhyolite extrusion sites which are now forming Yellowstone NP (incidentally extending the B&R, and creating valleys equal to the number of rhyolitic sites);
E. Coriolis rotations create circular river valleys over part of almost all rivers (however small the stream), which allows inspection of river banks to determine the direction of drag;
F. Translation of Crustal mass along lateral faults may be related to Coriolis rotations, such as the Navajo Sandstone (Aztec in NV) moving SW from UT to the Valley of Fire, NV or the Divide basalt moving along the Hurricane fault (see Grass Valley vulcanism, and B&R lateral faulting); and,
G. Location of antipodal features, such the Pine
Valley Mountains, PVM, which is opposite in location to sinks near the Pyramid Lake region of the B&R faulting, and the location of the Laverkin sink which is in opposition to the monocline near the AZ border.

HURRICANE FAULT HAS MANY CORIOLIS CELLS WITHIN THE 30 KM GRASS VALLEY ROTATION


The original Coriolis rotation for the Hurricane, Utah location encompassed a region from the CIRCULAR PORTION OF THE VIRGIN RIVER TO THE AZ BORDER. Within this circle , there were several arcuate canyons, all of which I assumed to be part of the one large rotation. As I have expanded this investigation of Coriolis influence on the entire earth, I realized that the original case was much too simplified (by me). I now will return to the “EYE OF THE HURRICANE” to expand the discovery. The concept has not been tarnished, but it is necessary to explore the limits of the discovery. There are several constraints, which must now be incorporated:
1. There must be harmony between a rotating Coriolis cell and its surroundings, otherwise there will be a local GEOTHERMAL anomaly, e.g. a hot spring or volcano. HEAT FROM BRITTLE FRICTION WITHIN THE CRUST RESULTS WHENEVER TWO BLOCKS ARE ROTATING IN THE SAME DIRECTION (CW VS. CW). Usually, nature has offset this by rotating a smaller block between the two “uncongenial” cells, but occasionally there is direct conflict, resulting in vulcanism for longer periods, and hot springs for the intermediate term;
2. The Hurricane fault is moving in three dimensions (3D), as shown by diagonal slickensides along its Laverkin graben. Consequently, part of the vertical movement is shown in adjoining Coriolis rotations, and this results in blocks of crust contrasting vertically with respect to each other (dipping and faulting). This results in smaller local horizontally-rotating cells which can be seen on Google Earth photos; and.
3. Local faulting disrupts the local topography and this introduces a dynamic about which new rotation occurs. Dynamic Linears, such as the 40N latitude of Mendocino, CA, have both horizontal and vertical rotation occurring about them. Not only that, but each surge of motion introduces a new rotation, and if the new one is laterally-displaced from the old, a new circular feature occurs within the older one.
These rules have been noticed as I complete more cases of known geology, and by extrapolation, there will probably be more refinements as I expand the work.
Below is shown a more detailed view of the Coriolis rotation near the Hurricane fault, Hf, at Hurricane Utah:


Notice that all anomalies which can be seen in local fieldwork produce small cells of rotation (within larger cells); this introduces a complication, where fieldwork must be used to separate the various movements. This yields much more information than I originally supposed, but it also requires that all details be incorporated. For example, the dip and strike I measured at the AZ border of the Grass Valley cell are pertinent for a local movement, but care must be used in extrapolating the extent to features kilometers distant; the subsurface movements may not necessarily be those under investigation.
It now appears that all topographical and elevation changes are associated with Coriolis rotations. This is extremely valuable, since anomalies of all sorts will be accompanied by rotations which can be seen on Google Earth photos. It also requires more analysis, since all hills and associated valleys introduce circular rotations. It will be necessary to perform fieldwork to separate the various features noticed on the photos.
Judgment will have to be exercised, in order to start an analysis useful for economic geology. START WITH THE SMALL FEATURES FIRST, WHICH ARE KNOWN TO REPRESENT SOMETHING ALREADY UNDERSTOOD. THEN PROCEED WITH LARGER CIRCULAR FEATURES, TO SEE HOW THEY FIT WITH THE KNOWN MOVEMENTS!

WE WILL RE-DO THE GRASS VALLEY CELL, TO SEE HOW IT FITS WITH THE OLDER DIVIDE CELL. BELOW IS THE CELL WHICH ROTATES ABOUT Hf:

DETAILS MAY BE SORTED BY NOTICING THE DIRECTION OF DRAG (EDGES OF CELLS SLIDE FROM AWAY DIRECTION OF MOVEMENT). WASHES AND SINKS, WHICH ARE ACCOMPANIED BY CW ROTATION INSIDE THE CELL, MAY YIELD CLUES TO START. Use elevation information to determine which are low points in the topography, if a stream is not present. A mesa- which is a promontory- has risen and MUST HAVE ROTATED CCW IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE. Conversely, a graben or sink will have rotated oppositely- CW.
NOTICE THAT THERE ARE 5 SIGNIFICANT ARCUATE PRESENTATIONS ON THE GRASS VALLEY PLAN VIEW (AS SEEN BY GOOGLE EARTH). Sorting these will require location of faulting and any other anomalies (such as springs, uplifts, and arcuate valleys) in the field. You ask “This requires more field work than a GEOLOGIC MAPPER would perform?” Yes, but the understanding is much more amendable to extrapolation and one can eliminate most of the area to be investigated in advance- by just looking at the Google photo!

ANOTHER IMPORTANT CONCLUSION FROM THIS LATEST FINDING IS THAT THERE IS NO WORRY ABOUT THE MANTLE BEING PENETRATED BY THESE LOCAL LARGE CELLS- SMALL LOCAL CELLS ADJUST WITHIN THE CRUST TO OFFSET THE GREATER DEPTH NECESSARY TO PROPOGATE THESE LARGE SCALE LATERAL AND VERTICAL ROTATIONS. For example, for the Oregon cells which are noticeable for several hundred kilometers, the rotation of small cells within that distance propagate the movement far away from the origin!

We will now redraw the GRASS VALLEY CELL, FORMING A DIAGRAM:


The above models simplify previous attempts, since there is no CONFUSION ABOUT PENETRATION INTO THE MANTLE; small Coriolis cells have insufficient extent to reach below that influence, and only HEAT OF BRITTLE FRICTION FROM THE CRUST CREATES EXPANSION OF THE MANTLE INTO THE CRUST- TO SEND BASALT INTO THE SHALLOWER DEPTHS.

Let’s compare the above diagrams with previously-drawn ones, taken from a field trip to the SE corner of the Grass Valley circular feature. Near the AZ border on the high side is a dry wash with a limestone floor, which has Pk bed sloping down to the SE, with a dip of 15 degrees. This is in a creek which has laterally-striated slickensides above it to the west. This creek is the one seen on the Google map, north of the AZ border (out of 3, shown on the map), and it drains into Ft. Pierce wash- which makes an arcuate trace to drain into the Virgin at St. George, Utah. On the diagram above, this is the fartherest north cell of those three reaching the Virgin River. These three cells pertain to the rotation about the Grass Valley extrusion- which is near the highest elevation on the road south of Hurricane, Utah going towards AZ along Hf.
Incorporating all of the CONCLUSIONS FROM various case studies made on North American Coriolis cells, the 3 circular features are TIME-SPACED. My assessment is that the older and larger extrusion of Grass Valley has emerged to the west of Hf, at 1 m.y. year or less, and later been sliced by faulting. Much later, a rejuvenation cone has arisen, emerging from HEAT OF FRICTION OF BRITTLE SPIRALLY-ROTATING ROCKS. This occurs due to the CW movement of sinking and shrinking-cooling magma chambers as they subside. The later rejuvenation cones are smaller, since the heat of friction is much less than the original Crustal melting feature. Hence one of the circles inscribed within the original feature is younger and pertains to rejuvenation. What is not clear is the relation of the Divide Vulcanism, which extruded after Hf had sliced the original magma. WA County mappers have radio-dated the three features and find that the ages are:
1. Grass Valley: 1.47 m.y. (oldest ONE OF INTEREST);
2. Ivins Knoll, near Hurricane and south of Sullivan’s Knoll: 1 m.y.;
3. Washington lava: 870 k.years;
4. Divide basalt: 410 k.years (younger ONE OF INTEREST);
5. Gould Wash: 400 k.years:
6. Leeds-East Reef: 350 k.years;
7. Little Creek Mountain, atop mesa; 345 k.years (last ERUPTION IN THE AREA INVESTIGATED):
8. Crater Hill: 310 k.years;
9. Volcano Mountain; 258 top and 333 k.years, base;
10. Cinder Pits: 240 k.years;
11. Radio Tower: 140 k.years; and,
12. By my assessment, Divide flow, Hf has sliced the flow and displaced it to the south, and in the interim allowed the basalt to flow over the rim. The sliced part to the south should be the same age, even though it has moved from its original position.

ITS AS IF ONE SLICE OF THE CRUST SHOWS A VERTICAL ROTATION ON THE EAST SIDE OF Hf, AND OTHERS SHOW NONE OF THIS. SEE THE BELOW PHOTO OF THE DIPPING BEDS EAST OF Hf:

THIS IS ANOTHER PUZZLE TO BE SOLVED! SEE BELOW FOR CONFIRMATION OF THE DIPPING BEDS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROTATING CELL, WHICH OCCUR OVER A KM DISTANCE ALONG HIWAY 59, AND FOR 100 METERS ALONG THE ARROYO:
BELOW IS SHOWN THE REASON FOR THE DIPPING LIMESTONES ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE GRASS VALLEY CELL. THERE ARE JUNCTIONS ALONG WASHES AND DRAINAGES, WHICH CREATE SMALL CORIOLIS ROTATIONS- THESE MAKE LOCAL ANOMALIES, WHICH ARE RELATED MAINLY TO THE SHEAR AND ROTATION ADJACENT TO THEM. THIS IS NOT A 30 KM PHENOMENON, BUT IS DUE TO LOCAL SHEAR:

CORIOLIS ROTATION OF A SINGLE MEANDER: VIRGIN RIVER, AT SKY MT. GOLF COURSE

Above is shown a digital photo of the large meander north of the Sky Mountain Golf course at Hurricane, UT. The meander is near a junction of the Virgin River and a local tributary- Gould's Wash. The wash derives from the plateau on the Colorado Plateau, CP, above the Hurricane Fault, some 20 km length of drainage, and partially circles about a crater to the south- Sullivan's Knoll. The intent of this analysis is to determine whether there is a TRIPLE JUNCTION, INFLUENCING THE LOCATION OF THE MEANDER AND ITS POSSIBLE ROTATION.
MY ANALYSIS IS SHOWN BELOW, FINDING THAT THE MEANDER IS A REACTIONARY CELL (TO THE PRIMARY ROTATION AND UPLIFT OF A CELL IMMEDIATELY TO THE NORTH OF GOULD'S WASH). This yields a tentative solution to a vexing observation: MOST SINKS ARE ROUND IN SHAPE, INDICATING THAT CORIOLIS FORCE INFLUENCES THEIR POSITION AND ROTATION- WHICH SEEMS UNREASONABLE! We will examine other sinks to determine if this is a general result.

INCORPORATING SINKS FROM OTHER REGIONS AND DYNAMICS,
The Atchafalaya Basin is shown above and below, with my analysis- which is a known sinking area near the Mississippi River, generally thought to be reacting to the compaction of soft sediments brought by sluggish streams- such as the river in its center:
Coriolis cells are of two varieties, so far:
1. Circular, which is the dominant type, and
2. Elliptical, a rarer type, but one which is usually associated with large regions between larger entities.

There may be more rare types, which we will incorporate after analyzing their characteristics. All cells investigated so far obey straightforward RULES:
A. Sinks occur on one side of a rotating cell, with concomitant uplift on the opposite side;
B. Sinking was discovered for a cooling (and shrinking) volcano, a quarter mile from my back yard, and it results in clockwise, CW rotation;
C. Uplift occurs for known rising features, such as SALT DOMES, and it demonstrates CCW rotation;
D. The southern hemisphere has all rotations reversed, but the associations are similar;
E. Except for Reactionary cells, RC, there are centerlines in the middle of the cells- usually in the form of linear faults, unconformities, parallel fractures, or other anomalous features;
F. RC are cells rotated and dragged by oppositely-moving thrusts, transforms, or lateral faulting;
G. Coriolis cells dominate the STRUCTURAL GEOLOGY of the Crust between 40n and 40S latitudes, with minor influence between 10N and 10S (close to the Equator, where there is slight difference in surface latitudinal velocity (referenced to North Pole); and,
H. Coriolis cells are influenced by the independent shear created at the termination of Equatorial Bulge, EB, where the slower-moving non-Bulge region relatively moves eastward. Notice how the creek circulation atop the DOME is influenced by her rotation as it rises, shown above:
